Thank God for all the prayers and well wishes!! They have seemed to have finally made a difference!
I am one really relieved mama right now: my oldest child, 12-year-old Grant, is out of danger: he has turned the corner; doctors think he is going to be alright!
I am so happy it is all I can do to keep from crying, but unlike the past several months, these tears are ones of joy!
Grant is now out of his coma: he is talking, laughing, and starting to eat again. He is feeling better every day, and while it will be a while before he will get his strength back, compared to the sick child in the PICU, he is looking so much better!! (He was moved from the PICU to the regular pediatric floor last week.)
Doug (husband) and our other two children have been able to visit Grant; everyone is so full of smiles! Even the doctors and nurses caring for him have been smiling and have started calling Grant "The Miracle Boy". It's really been amazing at the strides Grant has made in his recovery from this deadly illness!
Our church family has been lifting our family up in their prayers; they've also been coming to see (and pray for) Grant and offering encouragement to us and have even been kind enough to bring food and even monetary donations. The love they've showed has been phenominal!
Well, it's time for Grant to eat his supper, so I will be going to help him. He's still pretty weak; he tires so easily. Keep those prayers and well wishes coming; they've really made a difference!!
