In the jungle the lion didn't sleep tonight,it cried and cried
all night because while hunting it stepped on a thorn then
couldn't get it out .

In a nearby mouse hole a mose was disturbed from his
sleep,it was the mouse Requiem (,from then The Boy and
Requiem's Adventures Continue or to the Boy in the Moon
stories ), Requiem never even heard of America or the boy
that would become his friend,this was Requiem first lone
adventure .In the jungle.

Requiem got up,started out of his mouse hole and saw in
fact the lion screaming in pain he saw him holding his paw
as he looked around for anyone too help him . Anyone then
at all .

He saw Requiem and told him to help him and not worry in
fact about getting hurt or eating ,just help him now too    .

' I'll help,' said Requiem looking at the lion,' But you got too
promise if I get in any trouble or might need help you come
help me or any other small animals that might need help .'

The lion almost had too think about that one,he ate smaller
animals to live,he told Requiem he could adapt just take the
thorn out of his paw now it was painful . Requiem did and in
days following whenever Requiem needed help the lion was
there,they became friends over time .

But unfortunately some of the other animals tease the lion
because of that but that didn't waver the lion from staying
friends with Requiem .Unfortunately to that one day a team
of men came too the jungle for animals for their zoo. While
out hunting for other food the lion could eat besides smaller
animals Requiem and the lion were trapped in a cage that
was covered and hidden well.

' You know you'd rather have a large cage here,' Requiem
had told the lion once they left the jungle and arrived in the
country of America .But the lion was thinking of the jungle
he was king there not here, he told Requiem too leave in
fact before he ate him ,and not having a choice he did that
was how he met the boy .

The boy was enjoying the zoo with his family when Requiem
upset with the lion started wondering the zoo,too find some
place to live ,a mouse without a mouse hole was unheard to .

' My name is Requiem I'm a mouse,' he told the boy as they
were sitting at a table eating,Requiem climbing up the table
hungry as he smelled the food there on top the table .

That is how the boy and Requiem met .
