God has been my best friend since I was a child.  

He is the best possible thing that could have ever happened to me.

Even though I can't see Him, I know He is there.  All I have to do is look about and see His handiwork in the clouds, in the trees and plants, in the creatures He has created, and even in people.  He made and designed all of us, including me.

I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was small, maybe about six.  I've been a regular church goer and faithful servant of his eve since.  God is the most important aspect of my life.

Even when bad things happen (such as the tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas or the terror bombing at the Boston Marathon last month), God has been there; there have been some amazing examples of God's work even in this.  I see God when I see the people reaching out to those in need.  I see God when I see people putting themselves second as they volunteer to help those who need it the most.  I see God when I see the video of that woman in Oklahoma who had lost her dog and then was reunited with him the day after the tornado.

I choose to applaud God loudly and often because He IS worthy of all my praise, in good times as well as in bad.  He has been so good to me and has been with me each and every step of the way.  I am not going to abandon Him, nor will I EVER do so.  I know He loves and cares for me, even when I am facing my own personal storms.

I've been through a lot in my life, yet God's brought me through each and every situation.  Why should I not praise God??
