I have come to find out who my real friends are, especially now, during this time of great need in my life.

I recently was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer of the blood, and have already had two rounds of chemotherapy, which has left me spent and extremely nauseated.  I have had to quit my job because it is too much of an effort for me.

I have become extremely despondant; I don't know what the future holds for me, and honestly, I am quite scared.

Thank God through these past few weeks I have had a great support system in my friends.  They have come to see me at home (or at the hospital, when I am having my treatments) and have been praying over me or holding my hand when I am sick.  They have promised to be there for me and I am starting to see that there is much truth behind their statement.

I also have the love of my family and my church family.  It truly helps that I don't have to face this cancer battle on my own.  I don't know what I would ever do without my family or my friends.  I am truly blessed, and it waill make this journal that more bearable!
