Nashville, TN., April 15, 2013, 7:14 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear All~

Kendall Smith here.  Hope this finds y'all well and happy.  I couldn't be more blessed: I have a wonderful wife who is a terrific cook and mother to two strapping, growing sons, and I have a job that I absolutely love!

Tomorrow I am off, however.  Tomorrow will probably find me at church with my wife and children.  I will be helping with the greeter team; I do this once a month if I am not working.  My wife (Rachael) will be helping with the women's ministry; she helps with the women's job corps and she gets a lot of satisfaction in helping women trying to better themselves, even though she, herself, has health problems.

My wife has her days with memory issues and some pain, not to mention, permanent paralysis on one side of her body after suffering from a severe lightning strike 13 years ago in 2000, while she was chasing a storm.  She used to have severe, intractable pain but had surgery in 2008, and it has been a complete turnaround.  It's been nothing short of a God-given miracle!

Our oldest son, Rheese Kendall., is six going on seven; he is going to be tall, just like me.  He's already up to my chest.  He is gregarious, active, and full of life.  Meanwhile, our laid-back toddler son, Chase Ryder,  keeps us both hopping.  He is never still, not even for a minute.  The only time he is still is when he's sick or asleep.  :)  He has the personality of his mother: cool, calm, and collected.  He also has her red hair.

Rachael is pregnant again: we found this out last week.  That means we will become parents again in February or March of 2014!  It came completely as a surprise; we were not expecting this at all!

Happy Father's Day to me!! :)

I am sure that Rache and the boys have something cookin' up their sleeves in regards to me and tomorrow.  I do know this much: our church is having a barbeque lunch for all the dads and grandfathers of the church, so tomorrow I will get some good eatin' in!  Mmm, boy, how I love barbeque!  It's my absolute favorite!!

Well, I hate to run, but Rheese wants me to toss the old baseball around in the yard; who am I to tell his son no??  I will write in here again soon; if not, Rachael will.  Sorry it's been so long; but as you can see, free time is a very rare commodity in the Smith household!  LOL Take care and may God bless you all always!  And Happy Father's Day to all you dads and grandfathers out there!
