It's all over the news, the hollywood gossip shows, and on everybody's mind. I know you heard about it, right?
What is it about rappers and "beefs" these days....It's all over the internet, social networks, and the news, everywhere. It seems like every time you turn around, some rich and famous contemporary artist is on the outs with some other rich and famous contemporary artist or personality. Wait a minute what am I saying?
I almost forgot hey ...I think I heard about a long standing beef back in the day that Sammy Davis and Mel Tormé had going on for so many years, and is that really how Sammy lost his eye? Nah it was a car accident wasn't it?
But didn't I hear that Sanatra stabbed Dean Martin ...shot Jerry Lewis, and wounded Bing Crosby...the trifecta caper right you remember? Come you know, I think they made a movie of it? I think it was called "A star. is dumb" On second thought ...no maybe not huh?
I know I don't even have to mention, Frankie Avalon, Ed Ames, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Buddy Holly.... and all the times they were in the newspapers for feuds, fights and drama with fellow artist, instead of them simply making music, selling out concerts, making TV appearances and movies.
Or wait maybe you never heard of it after all, back then hollywood kept things under cover, but I wonder what was the talent agents major malfunction, shouldn't they have been publicizing their stars going to jail on the regular, and getting tats?
I guess some of the unrest in contemporary music.... wait a minute .. did I say music, isn't it talking that they're doing ...these days, so shouldn't it be called "speaking" instead music or singing?
I digress...but anyway the discord could be attributed to the fact that today's musicians...make "beats?"
Hmmm "beats" what in the world is a beat? And how pray tell do you "make a beat?" I've heard of rhythm, melodies, songs written, arranged or performed in a specific key, and singers singing notes, and harmonies and I've heard of musical crescendos, decrescendos, and the like, then there's 4/4 time, 2/4 time and so on, whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eight notes, down beat, up beat,and more, but to just write "beats"
Hmmmm? Everytime someone says "I write beats" it makes me want to fight .... like I said ..so it's no wonder theres' so much violence associated with contemporary music.
So I guess this is just the way it is when you're an artist,... its just the way it is and the way it always has been?.......wow and just to think I could've jumped to a premature conclusion...and then maybe someone could had a beef with me... yeah, uhuh, uhuh,...yeah ......uhuh, uhuh ....right, rightttt uhuh.
