A man writes about the close relationship he has developed with God and the lesson his mama taught him as a child.

My mama, from the time I was a child until now, has always told me that one should never be too busy for God.

And you know something?  She is absolutely right!

Mama says that God waits patiently for us to seek Him; He has all the time in the world.  But we, as humans, in our busyness, often put Him on the back burner and let our lives take precedence over God (or forget about Him entirely, and as a result, we often end up getting burned).

Ever since I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart as a child (I was seven) and became a Christian, I have tried to take Mama's words to heart and try to live a life that is pleasing to God (and to Mama).  I am not always successful, but I do try my best.

I try to make time for God each and every day.  Before I go to work, I spend at lest a half hour in deep prayer or dive into God's Word.  During lunch break, I talk to my co-workers (or people in general) about God and what He's done for me in my own life.  When I get home, I put on my praise and worship music and spend even more time with Him.  As you can see, God is very much a part of my daily routine.

Sometimes, though, things happen, and I end up doing what most humans do: forgetting about God.  This is only natural because I am only human.  This is when the world threatens to consume me, and then I have to fight twice as hard to keep God as the centerpiece of my life.

I just thank God that He is so patient and understanding, each and every time!  :)
