Respect

     Soldiers desrve respect no doubt. But Truckers deserve respect too. They are not all bad and they have been unfairly labled by the masses.

 

 

 

 

 

I wrote this today for everyone in America & Canada You all mean a lot to Jen, I & the Kids.

We want “Respect”, but we don't want a pat on the back—well folks that's what kind of what “Respect” is.

Someone acknowledging a group a people for the efforts they put forth.
We suggest that in order to get “Respect”-from others-- and to live in their hearts-we must lend the ultimate sacrifice "OUR life". Someone says you will never get people to admire professional truckers the way we do America’s service Men & Women.
Why?.... Is it because all we do is haul their junk from one end of the planet to the next?

Why does that not deserve admiration? “It was a choice you say”... we never sacrificed a damn thing?

It can't possibly compare to those who have laid it down for our Freedom.
“So you say” I can't feel your sorrow, for a Son lost Or a Daughter, Until I have walked a mile in your shoes---Ahh but I have a heart, full of spirit that drives a soul… away every day, from the ones we love, we don't have to lose a loved one, too understand pain.

What our soldiers do Command's “Respect” most certainly, though when it is over, there may be peace, we find solace in what they did, and how proud we are of them. But For those that ride away every day, to places far and wide, never knowing if they will return. They too! Have made a sacrifice, as they leave loved ones and family
"Not once but twice,

Again and again and again!

So... with ONE! there is closure, though we move on AND never! Forget.
Then the other Him or Her, most assuredly there is resentment and anger and sorrow and loneliness & LOSS, that they hold close, as they drift through the darkness like a ghost! To bring you the things that you NEED! Most.

You don't have to DIE, too get “Respect”. Just “live” one day like those who “Ride” in those Iron Cages, peer into their eyes and stare at their weathered faces, and when you’re done, and jump from that “Time Machine” and your boots hit the ground, “Soldier”,
out of your mouth you may utter a word I "BET" and it may sound something 
like, this ---"Respect"
