The river could be nasty at times other times it was calm as ever it was known as the Cherry River because Cherry trees lined each side of the river and every now and then cherries would fall into the river and any time someone would be traversing the river they would pick up the cherries and eat them. Legend has it though that some people that would eat these cherries some people that would go crazy start behaving oddly like a couple boys once tried to go through the river on a home made raft and never made it one of the boys ate the cherries jump off the raft and tried swimming the river he was kill others report seeing a sea monster in the river but none were never found . But the Cherry River was the only way in or out of the land that was supposedly inhabit by the legendary too Cherry fairy who took care of the Cherry trees along the river itself.And yet there was only one witness to that has ever seen this fairy,It was then too that Rowland Cherry Jones son of the man who legend to says planted those cherry trees a long time ago in fact it was the spirit if his father that then took care over anyone that used the Cherry River to make sure they would make it through alright . Rowland's death came as he tried to turn his canoe one way but the pull of the water was too strong and he went over a waterfall and he too became part of the legend that was the Cherry River .end.
