The Sea Chest or bunker was actually the brilliant idea of the man himself the Presibdent at one of their closed sessions. Then there were were arguments began as it always did with what to do about other countries who insist on fighting and war . ' We are suppose to set an example for others,be the good country. ' He told them and he knew what was going on, everyone knew what was going on now .
' Why?' asked Secretary of State,' Is their laws to say we have to wear the white hat all the time,' Look at then what's going on inside our own country .' The President knew all too well what was going on in his country and in fact what was happening,crime was up violence at all time high and in fact he could not believe it, even civil unrest too. The Secreatary looked at everyone around her and shook her head she thought she was right of course .
' I know,' said the President,' But I think then if the people have something too focussed their minds on, think about something good for a change it might work too. Like the Statue of Liberty then too like you know or Mt Rushmore.' And in then in the weeks that followed after the White House had released a press release about the Bunker and where it would be built the people grew not so unrest,crime and violence were down, hope was there and yet there too then too in fact were signs from countries of war breaking out,the inevitable he had thought and they all knew that . Each state of the country had a case or two of violence or unrest . And yet no one was stopping it . They couldn't.And no one could believe whay was happening either and the President knew rhat it was only a matter of when would everything just let go then ,or explode like dynamite and when it did boom.World War 3 in a can ,nothing would be safe, or no one. But he kmew too that if anything did happen the war no would be blame on the President no one else just him .
They all knew that . And so that without any other choice or decision even the President had too admit that there was no other way too go. And then he too sat in his chair alone in the oval office he shook his head then reaching for the button the button that no other President ever touched before he in fact would touch it,without hesitation without thought he too touched the one button no one else would. And then he did. And all hell broke loose,missile after missile was then too launch suddenly other missiles were launched from other countries and in one night one lonely and then the dark night the world was put into total znd complete darkness.radiation swept throughout the world contact was made and the world in an instant had died that night. Nothing was left ecept deep under miles of ocean a glass building stood around it was a shield too protect it, a hungry shark passed the shield decided to touch it and the shark learned quickly he would not do that again for sure .
And the shark continued .Never giving a thought about what happened to him. Or why,he continued looking for food at least down here there was food. At least for them . And the sea unlike the surface of the world was alive with life ,from fish to whales to a penquin swimming for fun and in one lone part of the world fifty people were all that remained of a once mighty and future race . Fifty people that would have to repopulate the world itself.
