Peter then watched his pet spider build her web all summer ,then when she was ready the mother spider laid her eggs and the young after they were born ate her,this left Peter afarid to be around his mother thinking once hes older he would have to eat her .

Then one day he then too  asked ,' Am I going to have to eat you when I'm older ? ' he asked looking at her,his mother was now in her forties his father worked all the time and Peter had no friends but the spider he's been watching .
 

' What gave you that idea ? ' she asked him concerned .

His mother turned and shook her head ,' Who told you that Peter ? ' she then ask him wondering where he got the idea from .Peter explained about the spider in the basement and then she smiled at him , but now the harder part was coming ,explaining why the spider was eating by her young .

' Its like then when you throw a can in a certain bin ,it gets recycled to be used again or paper is then made from trees,we then cut the trees down but we replant them so theres always trees around ,so the young spiders eating their mother is not really sad, she's inside each of her young helping them grow to become bigger spiders ,they continue too then  live from their mother .But don't worry Peter, you'll never have to eat me.'

Peter laughed, If I did I would probably have to go on a diet .'
