Nashville, TN., March 28, 2014, 7:29 a.m., C.D.T.~

Louisiana Sandusky writing.  Hope this finds you well and/or happy.  As for me, I am at work, but I am getting a cup of joe and am currently waiting for morning report, where the head nurse of the night shift tells us about how the patients fared during the night.  I'll then find out where I'll be working for the day until I get off at 7:00 tonight.

I got here at 7:00; I ran a little later than usual due to traffic, but at least I got here in one piece!  (That is always a good thing! :) )

Tonight could be a bumpy ride: we could have severe storms overnight, including the threat of long-lived, violent tornadoes, large hail (baseball sized or bigger), damaging downburst winds in excess of 70 MPH, and flooding rains.  Lovely ... NOT!!  We will probably hole up in our storm safe room until the danger has passed and the "all-clear" has been sounded.  (Welcome, spring ... )

And to think ... three days ago, we had SNOW!!  Still have patches of snow left on the ground, but it'll be all gone when the storms come rolling through!

The family is fine other than several members getting over the tail end of colds or sinus infections, or Bill having an asthma attack that warrented a quick trip to the ER (but thankfully he didn't have to be admitted).  The kids are all thriving and happy (or relatively healthy; I am praying that continues).  Our youngest family member (Loretta) will be two years old in a few weeks; her birthday is on April 14.  We will be having a birthday party for her; should be a fun time!  I wonder what she will think of all the cake, presents, and all the people clamoring over her.  She's still pretty shy around strangers or people she doesn't know that well, so this will be interesting.

Ronee' 's husband, Michael, is getting ready to leave for Alaska in a few weeks (right around the time of Loretta's birthday party).  He is going up there to look for work and to find a place to live; they are going to live in (or near) Fairbanks.  I know Ronee' will cry buckets of tears; she and Michael have a very close, loving relationship.  But then Ronee' will leave for her cruise in September and a week later, she'll come back home to pack what's left and then she'll leave for Alaska for good, taking Dean and Dillon along for the ride.

It is going to be hard having Ronee' living so far away from us.  When she was still in Louisiana, it wasn't so bad; Louisiana isn't nearly as far away as Alaska.  

Johnny is getting ready to graduate from college in May; he is now looking for a job as an on-camera meteorologist for a local news station, but so far, nothing has come to light.  I know it si going to be hard for him because of his MD (and being ventilator-dependent), but Johnathon is determined to make his dream of becoming a meteorologist a reality.  Johnathon has never been a quitter; maybe that is one reason why he is still around! :)

And Becky is a wonderful mama to their two precious jewels, Nava and Novia.  The girls are both getting so big and are crawling everywhere and are cooing, babbling, and smiling up a storm!  They are such good babies, and, being their grandma, I always enjoy spoiling the two of them!

Well, I hate to run, but it's time to report to my duty area (today I'm working in the ER), and for me to get to work, so I'm out of here!  Take care and may God bless you always; I will write in here another day!  Toodles!
