A woman writes about her Pug mix.

I have a two-year-old Pug-chihuahua mix; she is light tan in color with dark brown around her nose, eyes, and mouth.  Her name is Miss Peanut and she is my very best friend.

I adopted Miss Peanut from the local animal shelter; she was just twelve weeks old, barely weaned from her mother and needing a home.  She's been a part of my life ever since. I simply cannot imagine my life without her!

Like most dogs, Miss Peanut loves to romp around, play, and have fun.  Chasing balls or sticks are her specialty; she loves to run and get her exercise.  She loves to play with other people and get them involved in her games; when people are paying attention to her, she absolutely shines!  She has such a sweet, loving personality and doesn't know a stranger; she loves everybody.

Miss Peanut came into my life when I needed it most.  I was depressed; I had just broken up with my boyfriend after he cheated on me.  I felt like nobody could ever love me again outside my own family.  Then I went to the local no-kill shelter and this is where I found Miss Peanut.  She came into my life; life hasn't been the same since.

I pray nothing will happen to my baby girl.  I love her to pieces.  She is always there when I need her most and she is more than happy to love on me and lick my tears away.  I pray I can give her as much love and joy as much as she has given me.

Everybody needs a friend in their life, especially a friend like Miss Peanut.  She is one in a million!!
