Dreams that I have dreamt: On three different occasions, I have dreamt about heaven. The first two were many years ago – but the 3rd was very recently. The first one, it was a very complicated sort of dream. I can only remember seeing great flashes of lights, far away out into the distant sky. It was dreadful, and there was more to it, but I cannot remember.
Now, the 2nd dream was also very unclear, however, it was more like a message. Here is what I do remember about it: It says whenever one dies: whatever was on that person’s mind – it’s what he/she shall inherit. That’s saying: If you’ve got the God of heaven on your mind – while you are passing on – then you’ll go unto Him – after you’ve died. Mind you! It was just a dream. It’s only according to what I have dreamt.
Bearing in mind, though, I am not saying that it makes much sense; nor am I saying that it doesn't make sense. After all, every dream has to have a meaning. The big problem is these days; we haven’t got anymore Daniel or Joseph to do our interpretations. Dreams are good messages sometimes. Shame we are lacking dream interpreters.Fear not, still, as whatever God wants us to know; He can yet, find ways of getting it though unto us.
All the same – It’s a very good omen – for us to keep the Lord at heart constantly. It is better to be ever mindful of God – than to be over mindful of other things. As it wouldn’t make much sense if after one’s death – he/she inherits a mansion – or even a boatload of cash. That’s not good – as it’ll be too late. Our best choice then is not to be too thoughtful – of the things of this world; rather, we need to leave a little room, in our thoughts for the Lord. It is crucial that we be mindful of Him at all times.
Note, what Jesus says, St Matthew 6: 19-21: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” That could put a little more lights upon my 2nd dream. As it says: you’ll get whatever you’re thoughtful of – prior to your death.
I don’t know – my dreams could be of personal warning – then again they could have been for others too. Be advised do your best to please the Lord – so that – He’ll be ever mindful of you. There can be no harm to anyone – when one does what is right. In actual fact – there is blessing from God for one that does his/her best.
Finally, here comes my 3rd dream – this one was quite recently. Also, this one too, it was not without dark areas. Prepare yourself for a long story. It happened on Tuesday night April 14, 2009. I dreamt that I was working beside a church. I was doing general labouring. It was more like cleaning up and gardening etc. Jesus too, was working in the same area of the garden as myself. Due to how the church is situated – I was working at the right side of it. After I had finished work – it was time to get me cleaned up for church.
According to my dream there is a small building – at the left side of the church. Outside this small building – some other folks and me – we had left our clothes there. All of us that were working – our clothes were hanging up out there on racks. On the out side of the little building located those clothes racks. Why we left our clothes hanging outside – I cannot recall. Anyway, by now you’ll know, my change of clothes was at the left side of the church. To get my clothes I had to pass through the fellowship hall – and then - through the church. That was the only way back to the building on the left.
Well, as I was passing through the church, it was already about three-part full with all dressed up people. They were waiting there for Jesus. It seemed to me – they were assuming – Jesus would follow me in. Perhaps, they had thought that, as I was about the last one to finished work. Since they knew that Jesus was working outside too – they sat looking out for Him. All the same, they were sure disappointed. As they looked around at each other – and then – stared at me – looking at their faces they weren’t happy not seeing Jesus. Then I said to them: Jesus is still at work out there.
At that point, they had seemed much more puzzled. Yet again, I said to them: Jesus is working more now than before He was crucified. I was still making my way across the sanctuary, but as I opened a door to go outside, there I noticed it was raining heavily. Right away, I thought of the clothes. I thought that every piece of clothing would be dripping wet. Surprisingly, they were not. Two pals I used to know – they took all clothes in before the rain began to pour down.
I made my way into the little building. I sat me down. I took off my shoes – and I began to shake them out. Inside my shoes there was dirt, dust-like and other trash like bits and pieces. Every field or yard worker gets those sorts of things in their shoes’. Sadly, as for that dream too that’s as much as can remember. Well, perhaps it hasn’t said a lot, but it does say one thing though, the real work is outside the church. Too many people are falling short of doing the labour, which is expected of them by: Jesus. They need to go out and find those who are getting loss.
Sitting in church all dressed up, shouting the Holy Spirit is here. As, for what my dreams relayed, at times, they are very mistaken. Jesus is outside working. We are all called to labour into the fields of finding the lost. It is good to go to church, but there is still sheep on the outside that needs to be brought in. Many who are waiting in church – need to go out and evangelize. It’s the will of God. Now, it’s my hope that, what you’ve read so far your soul find some satisfaction. However if that wasn’t enough to mollify your soul, try get you a copy of the book, and then you should be more blessed.
