Days turned long nights were cold,
but we continued anyway we had to
our goal was to discover what had
happened to the first expedition and
team that came before us here and
solve a fifty year mystery .

It happened fifty years too date that
the world almost went into world war
lll, but thankfully the circumstance in
which it almost happened was stopped.

An object of unknown origin had crashed
in the polar ice cap and the United States
which had a station set up there to study
changing weather conditions immediately
saw it come down .
 

They set out a team to investigate the object
which was disc shape the size of a house.
 

' Looks like the size of my bedroom,' said
Deon Smith, a biologist of the team sent to
investigate the crashed object .
 

' Be warned,' commented Eric Torres as he
looked at his radiation machine he carried it
measured any radiation at all or toxic fumes
that could be deadly too anyone . 
 

' We're always careful,' laughed Dark Thomas
who was the only black man on the team and
a well known scientist and writer in his own right.
Dark,along with other members Lin Smith,Andre
Young and Ann Coulton were the senior members
of the team . there were nine in all, the last members
were Xavier Thomas ,zoologist, Quinn Smith, an expert
in things that fell to Earth like meteors or comets too  or
anything that was place in orbit by man and sooner or
later fell out of orbit.And then there was the  youngest
member was Jessica Colt .She kept a record of what
ever happened to the team on field investigation or off
field like in studies how the team got along .
 

And suddenly the team was nearing the object they saw
it,big like Deon said,but disc shaped and seemingly new.
The outer hull was smooth and silvery it glisten each time
the Moon would hit it with its moonshine .
 

' Not a satellite,' said Xavier as he studied the few plants
that could actually live in freezing cold weather like this
that were crushed after the objected landed on them .

But the team was not ready ,not ready for what was in
fact about to face them within the next few seconds as
they all stood silently and waiting,each member had a
gun if needed that was holstered to their jumpsuits and
cover alls that look like spacesuits were designed too
protect them of extreme energy or radiation of any kind
extreme heat or cold . 

But now the side of the disc shape object was slowly
opening ,they watched with curious excitement even
more so to Jessica since this was her first assignment .

She stood by Quinn who secretly she had a crush on 
but since he was married thats about the best she in
fact could hope for too. But she still had her dreams
about Quinn and no one else could take those away
from her ,she smiled at the last dream she had had .

The side of the object rose up and suddenly no one on
the team could believe what they were seeing.
