Black America is suffering significant economic, social and educational problems, and black prominent leaders like Dr. Cornell West, and Tavis Smiley has serious concerns about President Barack Obama leadership. When black Americans help elect Barack Obama as President, we understood that he would be President of all America, not ‘just’ our President. Dr. Cornell West and Tavis Smiley have been unfairly critical of the President, with more criticism then they administered toward any of the white preceding Presidents. Dr. West has many important issues that many black people support, like for instance, the billions spent during the election campaign, drone attacks killing innocent people during war. I believe, that certain people need a validation for hurling stones at the very people whom they admire and but fail to measure up to. I call it a crisis in black leadership, especially when you have the loudest person in the room, doing the least to make his point of a valid argument. Sure, the President should be doing more, and later I will disclose where he left black America dangling in the wind. People choose their friends, heroes and methods of persuasion to stir up the interested few. Dr. West and Tavis Smiley can criticize the President all they want. However, the crisis is the destruction of young blacks in America and Dr. West, and Tavis Smiley conduct is relevant of what is wrong with black America.

In other words, the President make speeches to keep black people believing in hope, while Dr. West and Tavis Smiley hold black forums to circumvent the real failure, of why black people cannot save their families, community or  children. Dr. Cornell West is one of the greatest African American ambassadors for black empowerment and freedom today, his effort or commitment can never be substandard. However, black America continues to have individuals appearing as caring leaders to them, while selling them bullshit as their struggle for survival intensifies.

            Furthermore, President Obama has thousands of jobs on his plate; however, I am too displeased with his performance. President Obama has done a disservice to blacks in America, for not standing his ground when choosing blacks for prominent cabinet positions. He has chosen more whites and Latinos for positions in his cabinet, and now his ‘real’ color is being showcased. He may be afraid of choosing more than enough blacks, which will propel a media frenzy. Who cares? He has been elected for the second time, therefore constitutionally he cannot be reelected. Therefore, he should have had Jeremiah Wright providing the prayer at his Inauguration. And he should have had a black person heading the offices that best serve the poor and middle class. In reality, I have never seen a President stand up so enthusiastically for gay rights, but not send the national guard to Chicago to combat the rampant gun violence. Black America, we love our President, but not one of his social programs or agendas is targeted to help any of us anytime soon. He would probably wait until the end of his term to do something for black people so they can continue to vote Democrat, while he rushes out the White House back door. There is far too many problems in the black community and black family, for this President to sit on his hands and appear helpless, while compromising with Republicans on how to cut funding for social programs that help black families. Therefore, Dr. West, Tavis Smiley and President Obama are one in the same. The President cannot appear overwhelming supportive of black America for fear of losing white support, and Dr. West and Tavis Smiley must denounce the President in order to receive monetary support from those that would benefit from the President looking like a failure or ‘Uncle Tom’.
