     Nobody spoils the party.

Reading the newspaper I got to know that the Borbón monarch’s birthday celebration would take place in the Sabatini Gardens, that is the gardens of royal palace in Plaza de Oriente. I could not count on Jorge. He had to work. I sought for someone else to come with me but I was not lucky, it was dangerous. I dressed consciously once more: I put on my beige sheepskin jacket fastening it up to the waist with its cord and I wore it over my blue pullover which had two white horizontal stripes separated by another blue, and another white too at its waist, red lines also horizontal, all along the two borders of the white stripes; blue jeans I don’t know now if with much use or little, but happily clean of senselessness; and how not, my black cords boots some centimeters above the ankles, ready for the battle. Then I shouted as loud as possible again: Now, soldiers! To kill the king and all the invited! At once it was heard a noise of horrified voices and the soldier said to me: Go away, go away, please. From where I was I could see some of the soldiers and I realized that the one who had spoken to me was not an enemy and the others either, and as I knew I had already accomplished my purpose, I went away up the street towards Plaza de España. From the distance I greeted a demonstrators group who recognized me and I let myself go enthusiastic Gran Vía along towards the shop I used to buy the fake guns in, to buy one more, and then go to the grocery where Jorge works at to give him a surprise. Hadn't he had to work in the morning, we would have been two at the palace. Jorge and I...
