This story is found in my book, "Whoooo Wants Short Shorts" under the title, "Beauty is just a drop away." Beauty is not all it seems.

Jocelyn stood in front of the mirror admiring her graceful hands. Satisfied her nail polish was the exact color to match her favorite lip gloss, she finger-combed shiny auburn hair from her face. The soft layers mimicked the Farrah Fawcett hairstyle so popular in the seventies. Jeweled eyelashes and sensuous lips were perfectly framed within the flippant waves of her tresses. She pirouetted slowly in front of the full-length mirror to check her reflection. The red jersey dress clung suggestively to her 5 ft. 9 collection of feminine curves. She began gliding her hands over her hips, anticipating the pleasant evening ahead when the doorbell rang. She practiced one last pose, adjusted her cleavage for optimal viewing and answered the door.

“Hi girlfriend, come on in.”

“Hey, great to see you, Jo. What’ve you been up to?”

“Just busy working, but once in awhile a girl needs to play, right?”

“Well, working hasn’t been unkind to you. You’re looking fabulous, as always.”

“I’m sure you say that to everyone. Oops, there’s the door. Help yourself to a drink.”

After each dinner guest’s arrival, Jocelyn spent a moment in front of the foyer mirror admiring her shape and facial features. An observer might think her much too occupied with her looks. When she glanced in a mirror, it was like opening a book and discovering pages too fascinating to put down.

When all the guests had arrived, Jocelyn poured herself a glass of wine. She sat down on the sofa smoothing her skirt carefully under her thighs and crossed her elegant legs with a hint of seduction. Her long, tapered fingers held the wine glass with thumb and first two fingers. The remaining two fingers were curved and extended like the fingers of the dying swan in the ballet’s final act. Every movement seemed choreographed for the temptation of the male species. Her friends discussed how much they enjoyed these monthly dinner parties in each other’s homes.

Conversation began to slow after dinner and guests headed for the door. Jocelyn was thanked and congratulated on the successful dinner party. She returned to the mirror when the door closed behind the last guest. Her eyes were hungry for the sight of her body. Finally, she turned and walked into the bedroom. She flipped her hair back to remove the chandelier style earrings, slipped out of her dress and sat on the bed. After removing the spiked heels, she reached up on her thighs to unhook the garters. Slowly, she unrolled each stocking from her freshly shaven legs, stepped out of silk panties and removed her lacy bra. She stopped to admire her voluptuous breast implants in the mirror and was tempted to dance while watching her nude body’s movements, but was feeling tired. She hurried into the bathroom to answer nature’s call, hung her wig on the doorknob and stood in front of the commode.

Looking down, Jo emptied his bladder and shook off the last drop.

Don't ask me why, but I surmised this revelation after Jo "flipped her hair back to remove the chandelier-style earrings" - just had that premonition. Another story I enjoyed for its irony.
