Calling Dat Cajun Mrs. Santa
Once upon a Christmas Eve night,
The Sha Bebe were all snoozing in their nightly-nights.
In each their sugar shacks they were sound asleep,
Expecting Santa to bring them something good to keep.
At the mid-night hour there arose such a rattle.
That all one-hundred dolls were up from their beds to see about the battle.
It was Madame Poulette shooting moth balls at Bagasse Man
Who was trying to enter by breaking the fence that surrounded the doll land.
Oh, she shot and she shot the stings of moth balls in his face,
But, that *Salleau prie kept right on with his dastardly pace.
He kept hacking away at that alluring magical fence,
With the mind of someone who had no common sense.
“When will he ever learn?” asked Madame Plume.
“He was born with a hard head,” answered Faustina the Queen.
“His mind is severely soiled, and he will always be mean.”
“Go and call Mrs. Santa and tell her we need her special gris-gris.”
“She can get rid of that Salleau prie!”
In the wink of an eye, Mrs. Santa flew over-head in a cast iron frying pan,
She filled it with her magical gumbo filé, and tilted that pan with her hand.
“Away with you, Bagasse Man who spoils everything in sight.”
“You have nothing to contribute but your stinky self at this hour of mid-night.”
The filé gumbo spilled on top of his hard head, when he looked up to see her in flight.
A howl came from his loud mouth as he fled the scene filled with a ghastly fright.
It wasn’t the gumbo filé that hastened his leave from the doll land.
It was seeing Mrs. Santa flying over-head in that black, cast iron frying pan.
GO AWAY Bagasse man!
