My Grandma's Dolls

Let me tell you about my Grandma. I think she is awesome. Her name is Mary Lynn Plaisance. She owns her own Cajun shop, makes her own dolls and writes her own Cajun stories.
 
My Grandma owns a pretty good shop. She has these craft shows that everyone goes to. The craft shows that she has have little booths with people working them. Her shop has dolls, birthday gifts, and old antique stuff, like old cameras, beds, and dressers.

Mary Lynn Plaisance makes her own dolls. They are not baby dolls, Barbie dolls or bratz dolls – they are Cajun sha bebe dolls. They make good birthday gifts and Christmas gifts. She makes the body look like clothes and she uses cotton and cloth. She puts yarn for their hair and sews her own clothes and caps and for the final touch, she draws a heart under the clothes and puts a name for each one in the heart.

My Grandma wrote a book about the dolls I told you about. It is called Do You Believe in the Land of Sha Bebe. It is a really good story, if you get to read just the first page, you’ll want to keep reading everyday and as you read, it will persuade you to want to go to her shop and buy her book for presents, and it will also persuade you to want to buy things from her shop. In the book, there is even a teacher named Miss Betty Lou who teachers Jolie. They have a lady named Madame Poulette who likes to gather and cook eggs. It is a really good story so maybe you should stop by and buy one of these books, they are really good.
