Saudi Arabian all the retinue
I had gone to Marbella with Manuel for some days. Jaime Fierro had invited us to stay at his family’s group of villas in Marbella, province of Málaga, in Spain’s South coast. Puerto Banús in Marbella is probably the most distinguishable and luxurious yachts club of Spain, according to ones that appreciate these things, of course. Whatever the case is I enjoyed it when they drove the yacht out from the port and we sailed through open sea. I went to the prow and felt the pushing of the wind on my body and faced it feeling my force to overcome difficulties, especially in a moment my forehead impulse forward, my mission was to finish with all vestiges of Dictator Franco and the Bourbons. Not by chance I was living at Manuel’s in Madrid and I knew perfectly well who I was destined to be.
First morning I got up and went to the garden for breakfast. After breakfast a kind employee accompanied me to the garage and told me to take the car I wanted to, while he showed me a big garage plenty of all cars imaginable. I decided which after having a quick look. The yellow Renault 7, please. The keys are in the car’s ignition. Thank you very much. It has been a pleasure. Well, I had to go to meet Manuel and others at Puerto Banús and I felt a little uneasy driving my yellow Renault 7, cheapest, ugliest and what makes it worse, of a pitiful aspect. On the motorway I had the idea of turning back to the garage instead of situating the yellow Renault 7 behind the queue's last car to pass the entry controls of Puerto Banús. I came back to the garage and stretched hands with the employee in the garden.
Germán was reading a morning newspaper and having coffee. You later than me, aren’t you? I asked him. They are coming back here, he said. We then commented about Marbella and Puerto Banús, the rich people and luxury. It turns out that today a Saudi Arabian retinue with important members of the royal family and their cohort arrive in Marbella to spend summer for two months. I asked him to hand me the newspaper to focus on the news about them. It was a short news saying a Saudi Arabian retinue would arrive that day and the usual and yearly visit of the dummy king of Spain to king Feysal. After reading El País I read Diario de Málaga two whole pages news about the retinue. They mentioned detailedly about the retinue, king Faruk of Egipt, Sultan of Oman, Emir of Catar, Emir of Bahrein, sheik of Kuwait, four princes direct descendants of Muhammad, three princesses also direct descendants of Muhammad... Details about the big palaces and houses, and yatchs, some stadiums size, they had in Marbella. When Manuel, Jaime and others came back to the garden I took apart Manuel and I said to him I wanted to come back to Madrid at soonest. Why? he wanted to know. Well, I said to him, a Saudi Arabian retinue shall arrive in a few hours here in Marbella and someone can try to attack them. Come on, Leopoldo; do not take things to that extreme. Don’t you think they have a lot of enemies? He stared at me waiting. Ostentation and luxury they represent in every one’s eyes, so may be someone tries. You cannot say I am not reasoning, clearly with authority. I don’t think that is the plan of anybody in Marbella and it hadn’t occurred to me the idea of risk staying here, but I must admit the reasoning is right, and besides, I want to go back to Madrid too. I told him then that even ETA may try a big terrorist action against the Saudi Arabians. Why? Come on, don’t be so convoluted, Leopoldo. Why would ETA try a terrorist action against them? Well, why not, I said, it would be an action of international repercussion and they would be recognised like big brothers by everybody.
Jaime had told us to take his car, a black Renault 5 Copa, for our return to Madrid. We parted immediately. The motorway was hellishly crowded, it took twenty minutes to get as far as a hundred meters and night was falling. Manuel was driving, if we may say that was what he did. The highway had only two lanes and two directions, one along the right and another along the left. We were waiting in the car still in the row of cars. It had been more than ten minutes since the last car in the opposite direction had gone by. I started up to roll a joint and from where we were in the car could see what should be the Saudi Arabian retinue in the distance, motorcycles with lights on opening the retinue. We could see they were a lot of luxurious cars. We had already realized there were civil guards controls every two kilometres more or less and also we had seen a traffic civil guards control near in the row.
I told Manuel to let me drive. It is useless, and besides, you haven’t finished rolling the joint yet. It doesn’t matter, let me take the car. Please do as I tell you, I said. Manuel got off the car and came in through the co-pilot’s door. I moved to the steering wheel’s seat. I took the car to the opposite direction starting in third and then I set on my knee at the steering wheel and finished to roll the joint. What are you doing? asked me Manuel. You are going on the lane forbidden. Do you see? All them are kamikazes, you will see how there will be not one left. Open the window, Manuel, I told him as I lit up the joint and drove along with my knee and still in third. I had some puffs and began to shout at the people in the cars row saying that if they were going to stand at the same state for two years time ETA would kill them all. On seeing that the car was going ahead and that I was not driving with my hands on the steering wheel Manuel asked me how I was driving and I showed him. I had started in third and had changed to fifth and the car's odometer reached 300 km/h and I kept on going straight against them and the motorcycles opening the retinue and some of the Saudi Arabians’ cars were being thrown off of their lane at a very good speed, so I was getting for sure a very good skill in trying to kill them all, because I saw such mortal accidents of cars I realized I had probably fulfilled my purpose till then. We had seen already many civil guards’ controls and I didn’t care; I went driving on the opposite lane, but there was a long gap between a group of cars and another and I realized a yellow Seat 850 had interfered in the Saudi Arabian retinue by situating at a distance of both groups. The yellow car doesn’t suit well to anybody I told Manuel. I couldn’t stop at that moment and I was not going to do it. We saw a family in the car, parents and a boy in the back seat. I did not stop driving straight and the driver understood on seeing the cars crashed off of their lane, and they turned out stopping soflty off the lane. The others coming opposite were my aim then. They were not injured, said Manuel looking back to the yellow Seat 850. I have seen it through the rear-view mirror. It turned out like I wanted, I said and raised my right fist to them. Why do you raise your fist? Some day they will see me doing it, Manuel. They are already very near, he said. The other group of luxurious cars were approaching us and I had been accelerating to the top. I saw some very expensive cars and a Rolls Royce which should be taking king Faruk and the most known and important members of the Saudi Arabians retinue. To the first ones I threw them off of the lane not stopping until they had to avoid the crash turning aside at a high speed, so I was now free to go ahead against the Rolls Royce. I told Manuel You will see how the car is first. Actually, the Rolls Royce with windows through which we could see Saudi Arabians dressed like the type of these loaded with petrodollars went out off of the lane in a loud crash and then exploded violently. Didn’t I tell you it would be the car first? I asked Manuel.
There were many cars yet after the Rolls Royce but I knew they wouldn’t dare to face my car, only leave me the way free once all them going inside their king's big car had died and I threw them all off of the lane. I told Manuel that once the king is dead his army surrenders or retires, when it turned out Manuel was doctor in History and he would know many cases throughout History, and later a small piece of burning hash fell down on my crotch and I had to try to take it away and I could not, so I had to stop finally at a last civil guards control with my right hand on the steering wheel, just to take away the piece of hash at last. The civil guard towards whom I drove the car until I pulled up didn’t move, holding his machine gun like the others at the control. I got off the car shaking my crotch yet and the civil guard said to me You almost arrive in Madrid in a very short time. I haven’t because I was nearly going burning, I said to him. Manuel sat down at the steering wheel and the traffic flow was tolerable. All the cars thrown off of their lane and crashed, probably most of them already dead, I knew I had fulfilled my duty causing havoc to the enemies. On a car given back to his owner unpolluted; with no hands and having a joint. Ten one more time.
In the song Far away eyes by The Rolling Stones the words say that in the Lord's honour someone jumped up 20 traffic lights in red on listening on the car's radio that the Lord is always by your side. I knew sisters and brothers around the world were with me. Besides, Carlos Ilich Ramírez had been successful in assaulting OPEC's summit members attendants in an admirable and definite revolutionary action. Although I did not see it, I know many people in their cars, civil guards, ambulances, cranes and hearses went to clear out the dead bodies and to help the injured inside Bentleys, Jaguars, Morgans, Porsches, Mitsubishis, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Mercedes Benzs and Rolls Royces. I don't know how Saudi Arabians and Spanish Civil Guard and their secret services have dealt with such a provoking invasion that has killed most of the people of the retinue going to spend two months Summer in Marbella, the dearest Summer ever. I can only guess about it. Had they arrested me! I have never had a driving license!
