Book Review!

Children are the test. Anne Sibley O’Brien has written a stunning new children’s book, In the Shadow of the Sun, which has a higher moral ground of purpose, place, and practice. In is a story of passion for North Koreans through the eyes of an adoptee. The father in this drama is arrested while Mia and Simon flee the country towards China and its border. 

O’Brien was raised in Soth Korea during the 1960s by medical missionaries. President Chung-he Park was the target for an assassination as is the current leader of North Korea. The work has excellent recommendations for articles and books about coming of age in Korea. For comparative history compare Korea to Cuba.
