I almost missed the bus the other day!  My heart sank as I drove onto our church parking lot and saw all the cars, yet no bus.  "Maybe they were around back," I reasoned as I steered my car in that direction.  Now, I've been leading a Bible Study entitled, "We Saved You a Seat," about putting others first and looking out for each other.  "Didn't I tell my friends that I was going?"  I wondered. 

     About as quickly as this thought came and went, my cell phone rang.  It was my friend, Brenda on the other end.  “Where are you?” She asked.  “At the church, came my desperate reply, where are you,”  I continued.  “I’m on the bus, she said, but hold on, we’re pulling into the Exxon parking lot on Idlewild.  Come and get on the bus!”  She exclaimed.  I quickly pulled my car out onto the highway and headed in their direction, so glad that my friends were just minutes, perhaps as little as two, from my current location.

  I arrived at the Exxon pretty quickly, hopped out of my car and scurried toward the bus.   As I climbed onboard, my friend pointed to an empty seat diagonally across from where she was sitting.  With a sweet, happy expression on her face, she added, "We saved you a seat!"
