 Crisis and Chickens

-What a horrible crisis we are suffering! said one at the counter of the bar.

-So bad is it? asked another beside him.

-You can imagine! My wife has run off with another and I have gone with my wife.

The other couldn’t help laughing and didn’t know what to say, but impulsively he asked:

-And how do you manage now?

-Well, there are no problems among the three of us. The situation has become quite normal. They go into the room together whenever they want and I rest in the sitting room and watch TV.

-As normal as that? -asked the other incredously.

-Yes, sure. One must take things as they come. They laugh together in the room and I laugh watching my favourite programs on TV.

-So there is a good ambience in your friend’s house -said the other.

-Yes indeed. I can tell you this: some days ago I was watching TV and they were in the room. I was hungry and Carlos had already told me he hadn’t got no money, that we all were in a crisis. I asked Carlos from the sitting room if I could leave on credit a 2 € chicken from the butcher’s on his behalf. Try, say I will pay the chicken tomorrow. I went to the butcher’s and asked him for a chicken for Carlos. I told him Carlos would pay to him the chicken next day.

-Carlos González, the administrator? -the butcher asked.

-Yes. -I replied.

-Well, why not -he said-. Well, how do you want it?

-Entire.

-How?

-Entire, please.

The butcher looked angry and shouted to me:

-How do you dare? Entire? Entire? Come on, go away, go away.

I realised instantly something wasn’t going well and came back home to tell Carlos.

-Imagine the type, I said to Carlos, choosing customers for his chickens.

We three were in the sitting room and the refrigerator was empty. Carlos told us he would go to the butcher’s right away. He went. Entered the butchery and he and the butcher looked at each other for a moment.

-A friend of mine... -began Carlos to say.

-The big hog! -exclaimed the butcher.

-Why big hog?

-Why? Why?

-Yes, I would like to know -said Carlos.

-I know what he pretended to do, I am not stupid. I know to what extent some people fall in aberrant sexual practices, said the butcher.

-I wouldn’t have had taken it to that extreme -Carlos said and after he added-: My friend is a good type.

-I can’t be leaving on credit 2 € chickens to some people I don’t trust.

-Well, Carlos told the butcher, the crisis is so strong I don’t have 2 € today myself, but things may be much worse and you could be leaving on credit to everybody 2 € chickens to be fucked up and eaten later, wanting or not wanting to.

I didn't get the joke, but I did understand the three-way. If more people approached affairs like this, the world would be a less violent and volatile place. Of course, no one wants to be cuckolded. That may be the joke… The fucked up chicken.
