FLASH-FICTION.
.
Anxiously, I listened, as distant thunder rumbled. Across the vast expanse, in places, sunlight was stabbing down through dense black clouds, as cresting waves parried the vivid shafts like windblown shields. Restless elements had begun stirring the heavens and the sea. Two zealous warriors, one above, one below, were destined now to clash. A monster storm was approaching.
.
Through the wheelhouse window; all could see the Captains distress etched in his features. Amidst clamant barking orders, a troubled boatswain struggled to stabilize the heaving vessels tack. In mountainous waves, a harried crew fought as champions with scant headway. It seemed the Captains greed may prove calamitous. The ship was laden with too much cargo, and the rudder was inadequate in growingly turbulent seas.
.
Watching helplessly; waves of anxiety churned inside me. There was nothing I could do. Being a passenger, I feared for the hours ahead.

You write with such ease, its really something to admire. I am asking for your prayers tonight Richard. My friends husband had a heart attach at the Miami airport, he is now having a triple bypass as we speak, please keep Darren in your prayers, I know your a prayerful man, Thanks

A vivid description of angry seas to come. One can feel the various anxiety in the captain, the boatswain and the passenger. All with different experience leading to a different way of anticipation anxiety. I guess it's called flash fiction because it's gone in a flash. Leaves the reader wondering what happened. If it was a wood sailing vessel, the ship might be lost at sea with all passengers and crew.
