Sit back and relax, take your mind to another place and time. A smile comes to my face as I remember when, when I could play all day and night and the word tired was not in my vocabulary. Full of Boundless energy, I would roam the neighborhood with my friends Dennis and Ronny. We were it, the guys who thought they knew everything, about anything. One day we were out looking for what our imagination and need for adventure was going to take us to when we came open a cherry tree, it lucious red cherries glowing in the sunlight. We looked at each other and were up in the branches in a heartbeat munching away. After a long while we all had enough, and I looked to start down the tree and jumped back in fright. There standing under the tree was Mrs. Pearson, "What?" she said, "my cherries!" Then raised the broom in her hands and with a mean look on her face came in for the kill. To make a long story short we never went back to that cherry tree again.
Short but sweet. In those days, lessons were meted out by neighbors without consulting parents, except to explain afterward. I'm surprised that you didn't suffer from it a second time with cherry-itis, a diarrhea like attack that usually accompanied eating too many cherries in one sitting, in this case, in a tree.
