⦁  Eternity is only in the old testament one time, and it's found in Isaiah, fifty-seven, fifteen. Did you ever wonder where the concepts of heaven, hell, and eternal life, came from? I can tell you where it didn't come from. The old testament. There is supposed to be about four-hundred years between the period of history of the old and the new testaments. You wouldn't think that so much in "thinking" would change in that short period of time, would you ? If it were not for Deuteronomy thirty-three, twenty-seven, and Isaiah sixty, fifteen, there would not be any references at all in the old testament on "ETERNAL".
⦁  EVERLASTING is only found in Daniel twelve two of the entire old testament. How about the concept of hell, what do you think the old testament teaches on it ? Not very much, it too is a new testament idea.
⦁     THINK ABOUT THIS!
⦁  If "everlasting" or "eternal," and everlasting life, life-after-death, were sought after, with ONLY the book of Genesis as a book of information: WHAT DO YOU SUPPOSE THE CURRENT "DOCTRINE" ON THE SUBJECT WOULD BE?
⦁  "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden;...and out of the ground made the Lord God to grow ever tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; "THE TREE OF LIFE" also in the mist of the garden, and the "THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE" of good and evil."       Genesis 2:8-9
⦁  If everlasting life were to be sought after with the book of Genesis as your "HOLY WRIT" you would be trying to locate and establish the place where the tree of life is, and try to obtain a bite from it's fruit. It would be a tree, not a religion. A tree, not a method such as Paul's. It would be a "TREE" not a "SACRIFICED SAVIOR". A T-R-E-E - NOT A MESSIAH ! A tree that would have the "POWER" to make you live forever here on this earth, not another life after this one.
⦁  As far as I have found, the closest I have found of any promise of any life-after-death, is in psalm forty-nine, fifteen. "But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.".....another one is Daniel, twelve two. ...."Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." As I said earlier, If you had only Genesis to go on, you would be looking for "LIFE" in a tree. I feel sure the chances of life everlasting is as good or better in the concept of "the tree of life", as it is in "the method" that Paul came up with in the book of Acts and the Epistles.
⦁ B T W in 1552 reincarnation was taken out of the King James version of the Bible. Why?
