Dead, dead, dead everywhere.
They lined the streets, hung on trees as if tossed methodically into the air.
From the observation post nearest the tall apartment building, Kara and her partner waited, a single arm dangled from a dumpster, rigor mortis setting in.
Sparks of electricity spread, their fingers reached out to the ground below with a shower of burning flesh. The other teams, men and women in camoulflage, watched for any movement.
What now? Kara thought, grimacing at the unfolding scene before her.
"Can't."
The sparks stopped now, and Kara once more glanced at dead corpses, now alive.
