The Fairy Who Chases Rainbows

She came down to earth on the edge of leaf that blew down from Mountain of Mists . In the light of the dawn she heard the dragonflies song that echoed on the wind where she lay .
She got up on her feet and started to dance and she sang to the earth and the sky and a horse with wings came from the clouds and landed on the path where she stood in the woods by Fairy Glen .
“Deezer can we go chasing rainbows today,”
Said the horse .
‘The little fairy laughed and flapped her wings, then she flew up and looked the horse in the eye .
“Peggy you know as well as me , no one knows where the rainbows are .“
Peggy closed his eyes and he called out to the sky for the polisher of the stars to come down . Pogleown arrived on a flight with a dragonfly and made a wish by the well in the woods . Then as wild flowers appeared the forest creatures all cheered and a
Muttondog emerged from out of the bog .
He brought some pipedream cake on stickleback plate and offered everyone a smudge with their thumb .
Deezer was ever so pleased and she said ,
”Oh yummy yum yum , why thank you Muttondog , I just love your creamed pipedreams .“
The Dragonfly spoke with a soft croak in its throat and said ,
“Allow me to fetch us some tea .“
With a whistle and a wail and a click of its tail , some butterflies brought fresh buttercups filled with green tea .
From a honeysuckle funnel a funny Cuddlebug came bumbling and tumbling out and said hello to everyone . The bumble bees hummed then a clutterbuck had come to dance in the bright morning sun .
With a wave of her wand that she tossed in her hand Deezer made some fairy floss there for everyone .
After they ate Peggy looked up at the sky and said
“Deezer we have to go now before its too late .”
“Where are you going ?“
the Muttondog asked .
Deezer said
“We’re off to a place in the sky .“
“A place in the sky , that’s away up high. “
Said the Dragonfly with a croak in its throat .
Peggy smiled and said
“To tell you the truth , you know Deezer and I are only one’s who always go chasing after rainbows .“
Then in a flash Deezer and Peggy made a sky dash and flew higher that ever up in the sky . Over endless clouds they flew as if they knew, where the rainbow was up there .
On and on in the colourless sky went the fairy and the horse that could fly . Nobody told them where to go , but somehow, someway they know how to find their way, to where the rainbows are hiding away.
Through tunnels in the sky, passing by the windows of time , cutting through coloured clouds, where crowds of silent dream makers sat watching and waving as they went flying by .
Suddenly in a place where the rain came in a strange creature called the shadow Keeper appeared and threw a blanket of dark shadows around them so they couldn’t see where to go .
Then he said to them
“You are in a place where you don’t fit in . You have come to Shadowland and here we don’t like fairies or horses that fly .“

“You have to be very careful what you say because we have been chosen to go chasing after rainbows and we have permission from the King of flight to travel where ever we like . “
“You know the King of flight ?
Said the shadow keeper .
“ We were invited to his castle and we stayed with him for a while , far beyond the colourless sky, beyond the meadows of dreams , where not many have been , he gave us the key to the gates at the rainbows end .“
The shadow keeper lifted the cloak of shadows and said to them .
“I believe you have been chosen , Good luck , I’m sure you will find it one day” .
Peggy and Deezer continued flying In and out through sky tunnels but just as they were about to enter a wind vortex the half light of sunset came through and they both knew that it soon it would be the end of the day /
So they had to return to Mountain Of Mist’s and wait until the new light of the dawn came again .
Under the twinkling stars the horse and the fairy watched a glittering pathways of dreams that captured their hopes to keep chasing rainbows as long as it takes and by what ever means they could find to get to that place at the rainbows end and open the gates for the King of Flight .
The both fell fast asleep and as the first light of dawn appeared they found themselves in the garden of the King of Flight who had summoned the Owls of the night to bring them there to share a special moment to celebrate the Dance of the Dragonflies Dream .
In the garden there filled with colour and light every dragonfly begam to dance for the King in a hovering way, they put on a disarming display of flight in a heavenly way and they danced and sang in their own way to the king of flight and at before the end of the day the dragonflies flew away with Peggy and Deezer until another day began but before the day was done she had to dance before she said goodbye to the King Of Flight and she danced until the dance was done and her wings were lifted to by the wind to the throne of the King who smiled as she danced in the sky .
All of the dragonflies asked who is she who dances so gracefully for the King and the answer came back ,
“ Why she is the one who chases rainbows for the King with her friend the horse that can fly “
As twilight fell where the fairies dwell Deezer returned to the Mountain of Mists and in the morning light she sat on a the edge of a leaf that took her down to the woods where Dandelion trees make a home for the hives of bumble bees and honeysuckle flowers make sweet juices for the dragonflies.
Deezer opened up her eyes and stretched her wings after her long rest
inside a her lovebirds nest at the top of the Mountain of Mists ..
She noticed when she awoke that her wings had grown and a dragonfly spoke with a croak in its throat and said ,
“The King was pleased with your dance and has given you a chance to dance again on every breeze that blows and Deezer .began to danced again for everyone to see .
The muttondogs came out of the bog with the and the Cuddlebugs and butterflies began to cheer and all around the forest every creature asked for an encore .
Peggy flew down from the sky and they all had green tea in buttercups with pipedream cakes and fairy floss until it was time to go chasing after rainbows .
