Success Story
From 1995 to 2000 I had a regular poetry column in The Southern Highland News and The Highlands post in New South Waled Australia .
Also in a national magazine entitled Australia Today my poetry was published .
Following this my poetry was included in an anthology published by The Friends Of ABC Poets Corner .
In 1995 I recieved an open award for my short story entitled Taree The Girl Who Spoke Like Thunder" The story was highly commended and regarded as
the best regional short story in the Bauhinia Literary Awards in Queensland Australia .
My Poem Each To His Or Her Own Tree recieved the“Bronze Helmet” Top Poet Award of Excellence June 2003 with the Internastional War Veterans Society .
I have been involved teaching poetry to primary school chldren since 1996 and a number of Poetry anthologies have been published with their work along with my own .
A poem of mine entiled A Hard Call was included in a book written by Adrienne Ryan called A Silent Love .The book is published by Penguin Books Australia .
In December 2003 , the book On the road with Macca had published a poem of mine entitled Surrounded By A Street Breed Macca is the popular producer of a National Radio program in Australia . His program Australia All Over has broadcast a number of my poems since 1996 .
In December 2003 16 of my poems were published in a book entitled
"Who Will Cry For The Soldiers?"
I was selected along with 27 other international poets in this excellent anthology who are members of the International War Veterans Poetry Archives . http://iwvpa.net

In 2008 one of my poems entitles Lost Sons Of Erin was put to music and won first prize in the world category of the Billboard Magazine Song Contest .
