The cracks of laughter echoed in the dark cave, bouncing off the rock walls and echoing into infinity.
It was like a symphony to her ears, but she couldn’t see who it was coming from.
After all these years since she first heard a laugh at ten years old when someone asked if she wanted some ice cream after school – this is what it felt like?
She always assumed that people were just being cruel and laughing for no reason or they had something up their sleeve.
But laughter was everywhere!
Everywhere!
And in the darkness of the cave; there wasn’t anything more beautiful than hearing those rich notes escape someone’s lips as they laughed with abandon – without fear of consequences- not caring about what anyone thought or did.
