The Arrival of Prince Theo.
NOTE TO READERS: This story was about a time long ago before the word "year" was invented by humans to calculate age. Thus I'm using the 18 full-moons to account for the nine months that the queen was pregnant with the baby and the number of seasons to account for the ages of the children.

Chapter 2
The Arrival of Prince Theo
As time passed, the magician paid the king and the queen several more visits, each time, assuring the baby was growing inside the queen's belly.
“Please make sure our son is strong and brave, for we need him to rule the kingdom after we are gone,” King Aylard begged the magician. Each time the magician visited, he assured the king and the queen.
Many full moons have passed since the magician first visited the royal couple - it was now approaching the 18th full moon. Everyone was anxiously awaiting the joyous arrival of the kingdom's first prince.
Handmade gifts crafted by supportive civilians of baby's booties, clothes and blankets were presented to the king and the queen daily, to prepare them for the prince's arrival.
One beautiful Spring morning a bouncy baby boy was born. The magician had not disappointed anyone. The baby had the most beautiful blue eyes, a fair complexion and curly light brown hair. When he began to take in his first breath he let out the most pleasant cry. King Aylard and Queen Isabella couldn't be happier. They were over the moon and back. When the news of the prince's arrival reached the public, the whole kingdom cheered in unison.
As for the name of the little prince, King Aylard made sure to take his time, wanting to bestow upon his son a name that represented “strong” and “powerful” attributes because he wanted the prince to be able to rule with power and be strong enough to conquer more land to expand his kingdom. The king was well aware of the feudal lords that were running amok outside of his kingdom, some were of wild tribes who would not think twice about taking the lives of innocent people and adding their belongings to their own properties. Some Feudal tribes were mercenaries. They robbed the innocent and forced them to be under their wings, and those who do not agree to do so would be killed.
After much thought, both the king and the queen agreed upon the name “Theo” as they thought the baby prince was a miracle that was gifted to them by the magician, and they wanted the baby prince to grow to be a brave ruler to their kingdom.
Baby Prince Theo did not disappoint his parents. He grew to be brave and strong. By the third Spring, he was a toddler. He was a fast runner, outrunning every other baby his age whenever there was a competition held for all babies in the kingdom. Baby Prince Theo had a good appetite and he consumed a lot more food than other babies born of the same Spring, thus he was larger than most other babies in the kingdom.
By the 5th Spring, Prince Theo appeared to be big and strong. He was a thick bone-structured boy. His arms were larger in comparison to other children of the same Spring, and he was a much stronger boy compared to others. Thus, very often he would go about to bully other children who were living inside the palace.
The palace advisors would often warn the king and the queen to guard against the young boy's behaviour. Even though the young prince may have appeared to be strong and brave, he would need to learn about compassion and kindness to others. King Aylard was overwhelmed with happiness in watching how strong and powerful his young son was becoming, and in his confused mind, he considered his young son's strength a blessing, and that he would be able to fight off all those feudal lords and outlaws that were outside the kingdom. King Aylard and Queen Isabella did not heed the Palace Advisor's warning, however, continuing instead to marvel at every little thing their young son did and wanted to do.
It soon became apparent that something was off with Prince Theo. He did not seem to have any compassion towards anything or anyone. Once there was a cricket fight between two of the servant's children inside the palace's courtyard. Many other children of the palace had gathered around to view the event. Before anyone could fathom what was going on, Prince Theo stepped forward and put his foot down on the two crickets, killing them both instantly.
“Wretched, pesky, noisy things! They don't deserve to live!” he shouted in his child-like voice to the stunned crowd of little children, which immediately began to scatter and move away, leaving the two servants' children crying for the loss of their pets.
Prince Theo had never apologized for his action as he thought he was above all other children in the palace. If he did not get his way to do the things he wanted to do. He would beat up other children who would get in his way.
There were two children whom Prince Theo did not like. They were the palace advisor's two boys: Drake and Durwin. He disliked them because he sensed that their father did not like him. Both Drake and Durwin were often warned by their father to stay away from Prince Theo.
Before the next Spring, another baby boy was born to the royal family, and this time the new addition arrived on a Summer day. The kingdom was overjoyed to have another prince... a “spare” to the kingdom's throne. The king and the queen named the new prince Galien, with the hope that Prince Galien would be an asset to assist his brother in ruling the kingdom. They hope that whatever his brother lacked in his personality Prince Galien would make up with composure and a clear mindset.
However, little could King Aylard and Queen Isabella foresee what was coming between the two brothers.
As time passed, Prince Theo grew to be big and strong, but his bullying behaviour never stopped. His much bigger physique conveniently allowed him to bully other children and sometimes he would beat up his own brother, Galien, who was 5 Summers younger.
great build up of characters here, Sandie. i keep laughing that he has been bullying other kids, makes me curious on how this trait will outplay itself in the next chapters. thank you. this was truly a delightful read.
In my life's experience, I don't remember watching a story such as what I have written. Can you tell me the name of the story that you are talking about where this could have been repeated from? I can't for the life of me think of any story (except perhaps Cinderella) that you are referring to which also have been told in many versions many times over. BUT THERE CERTAINLY HAS NO SIMILARITY TO MY STORY)

Well, EXCUSE ME!!! The only character I know of Peter Pan is the tiny fairy called Tinkerbell. Other than that I DO NOT KNOW PETER PAN'S STORY. I DID NOT WATCH PETER PAN. You've watched it 80 years ago. So, don't put that in my head. I haven't the slightest idea what Peter Pan's story was about.
Can someone please tell me if my story has any similarities to Peter Pan's story?
All your bullying ways towards me are NOT working for you. I will still write my story (one that is from my OWN head). No one will stop me from creating MY OWN story of fantasy.
This book seems to be clearly aimed at children and you are developing character that will, hopefully create some lessons for those who read the story. But it is an old story, repeated over and over, so you'll need to make it very unique if you can.

So the king and queen of Fargo did get their strong boy, but that strong boy was well on his way to beast of Fargo. so how will his by now five year old brother grow to stop the beast of Fargo... I think we will find out.... Good writing. Nice story.
