As a Native 'Yat, it is always fun getting back to the Big Easy … especially after all the COVID-19 constraints and for a free jazzy concert on the weekend before Mardi Gras.
Pre-Covid-19, I enjoyed joining my best friend, Scott Vincent, another Where Y'at Uptown homegrown lad, for a great time jammin to Deacon John and his entourage at a neighborhood gathering near St. Charles Avenue.
It was so cool dancing and prancing around with others enjoying some adult libations as we were treated to some darn good foot stomping blues, rhythm and rock & roll tunes.
Happy celebration! My tenant, a hard-working single woman from the Philippines, just found herself a retired age companion, a former radio announcer and Texas A&M instructor. They left two days ago to take in Mardi Gras with you.
