Palmer Valley Park Music Festival

It was the day of the Palmer Valley Park Music Festival and it was a beautiful late June summer day.

Ryan Davies and Kim Mathais were preparing to get ready to leave for the park when his cell phone started ringing, it was Felicia Falsingston calling.

Ryan Davies said hello to Felicia and she spoke up saying, “Good morning Ryan, I wanted to let you know that Daniel Gennings apologized to me last night, but, as much as he was apologetic, it was a half hearted apology, void of any real sincerity and it was a half hearted effort, but I accepted it anyhow, and I hope that it clears the air of discord between us.”

Ryan responded, “I’m not sure if he said anything to you about it, but I told him that if his attitude and behavior continued that I could replace him.”

“Yes, he actually mentioned that”, Felicia responded,and then she asked Ryan, “What was his response when you stated that point.”

“Absolutely nothing at all, then when I finished berating him for his behavior and conduct towards you, he just turned around and left with saying a word”, Ryan responded.”.

Felicia sighed, then said, “Oh well. I will see you guys later since I am one of the MC’s of the event.”

“OK, I will see you later, then”, said Ryan.

Then with the phone conversation over, Ryan and Kim went back to preparing to get ready and leave for the park and the festivities.

It was about noon time, all of the singers for the music festival were starting to arrive, as the festival was not supposed to begin until 1 pm.

The food vendors were also beginning to also arrive in the parking lot to set up for the hungry music fans.

Ryan Davies and Kim Mathais pulled up into a parking space, right nearby Felicia Falsington was arriving and pulled into a parking space. Getting out of their vehicles, they greeted one another.

Ryan began speaking to Felicia asking, “Who is your co-MC for this event.” Felicia, who was smiling, said, “I am going to be assisted by your buddy, Vince Harrington and also my friend Jeanne Mansfield.

“That’s wonderful” Replied Ryan.

Felicia hinted to Ryan, “Vince is going to make a few special presentations.”

“Yes, I have an idea what the special presentations are for, but I have not told any of my people in the group, that’s most probably why Vince Harrington is here,” Ryan said to Felicia.

About that moment, Michael Walker pulled up with Denise Stanley and Daniel Gennings. Then right afterwards Alicia Reynolds arrived with Ashlee Gannon, then last but not least Vince Harrington came rolling in to join everyone who was there.

At that point, all of the MC’s and the singers were mingling together, greeting one another. Felicia Falsington and Daniel Gennings met up, exchanged pleasantries, and even though they were together for a few moments, there was no real sign of loving fondness, especially from Daniel.

Vince Harringtonspoke up saying, “Ok, everyone, let’s get prepared and began handing out the program lineup schedule sheets for all of them to know when they were to perform.

The biggest surprise was that Felicia and Jeanne were going to perform as a duet singing songs that were specially written and composed for them.

Then the music fans began to arrive and take their seats and spots to sit on the hillside at the amphitheater setting in preparation for an afternoon of listening to the live music that was to be sung. 

When it came time for the festivities ro start, Vince Harrington came out on stage to speak to the audience that had gathered, welcoming them to the performance, then he called the MC’s and the singers out on to the stage and introduced each of them to the attending spectators.

Then Vince Harrington made the surprising announcement and presentation.

Vince Harrington announced that Gold Records and authentication documents were being presented upon to Keystone Bay for their number #1 songs “Olivia” and “Adventure Of A Lifetime” and also for their special “Keystone Bay 2 song CD.” 

Then Vince Harrington announced that Alicia Reynolds was being presented with Gold Records for her Number #1 songs “Partying Out In The Middle Of The River” and “Looking For Adventure” along with “The Honor Of Love Forever.” The audience gave members of Keystone Bay and Alicia Reynolds a standing ovation.

After the Gold presentations were made, Vince Harrington introduced Felicia Falsington and Jeanne Mansfield to the audience so that they could introduce all of the singers.

The 2 DJ’s started speaking, getting the festivities started by introducing “Keystone Bay” and each of the members in the group as the first performers singing all of their top hit songs to lead off the performances.

Felicia and Jeanne then introduced Alicia Reynolds who wowed the audience just as much as Keystone Bay had with all of her number #1 songs.

Then the DJ MC’s introduced relative newcomer Ashlee Gannon for her turn at singing to the capacity crowd that had gathered, singing a variety of her compilation of songs.

Afterwards, Felicia Falsington and Jeanne Mansfield took the stage to sing duets of their songs that were especially written and composed just for them, singing some of the most beautiful songs that had been sung all afternoon, and giving the audience a hint that they could possibly leaving their respective radio station DJ jobs to become a touring singing duet in the future.

When the concert ended late in the afternoon the audience gave all of the singers a rousing standing ovation for the outstanding performances that they gave for the packed amphitheater of country music lovers.

It was an entertainment performance that would be remembered for a long time to come by all who attended.

When all of the performers were all gathering together to leave, they all expressed their enthusiasm over how well that they were received by the concert music festival attendees.

Vince Harrington said to all of them that he was very pleased with the way all of the performances were received and would have them all together again at another location sometime in the future.
