A family's reliance on God during tough and uncertain times.
Morgan Giovanni-Broussard is my name, and I am 8 years old. I am also a Christian, and this has helped tremendously, especially as of late.

You see, my baby brother, Hunter Brant, is dying. He has cancer, and he has been so sick. He doesn't have more than a year to live..and he is only 15 months old now.

He is presently home, but life for him is such a struggle. His cancer has spread throughout his tiny little body, and he can't eat without throwing everything back up. He is on tube feedings, and he is also on oxygen because he often has trouble with his breathing. The cancer has spread to his lungs, and it is only a grim reminder that time with him is short. He has often ended up in the hospital, and each time I see the ambulance come to our house, I get scared because I am sure that my baby brother isn't going to make it; and I don't know what I would do if he were to die right now.

I often wonder what life would have been like if I hadn't accepted Jesus into my heart last year at church camp; I know that I would have probably been the mean-spirited kid I always was; but since He came into my heart, I have found that I am a lot nicer to people; and I don't make fun of the Sandusky kids like I used to. I was always jealous of them because they always attracted attention wherever they went, and they always seemed to be nice kids, even when I wasn't so nice to them. And they had two parents who loved them while I lived with my grandparents, both, of which, were not in the best of health themselves; yet, despite it, they always made sure that me, Ginger, and Hunter had everything we needed.

And then Hunter became sick. And now he is dying.

And since I have became a Christian, I wonder why God would allow such suffering in the world. I thought that, once I became a Christian, that my problems would go away, and that Hunter would be healed of his cancer; but so far, that hasn't happened, and now Hunter is going to be with Jesus in less than a year, and to think of my baby brother dying breaks me up inside! It's not fair that an innocent little baby who really hasn't begun to live out his life is going to die while I still remain! I often get mad at Jesus and tell Him I hate Him because He is taking my baby brother away from me, and there is really nothing I can do about it!

Why would Jesus allow such suffering in the world? Especially when one of the sufferers in question is my baby brother, Hunter?

I am sorry, but I can't write anymore; I am in tears, and it's hard to see the keyboard....Bye!

No one likes to see anyone suffer....No even God.

God is always there for Hunter should Hunter needs a friend for comfort.

(((karen))) this one rips out the heart...*tears* why does God allow suffering? to test us? to see how we measure up?? if so, if we didn't have Him, we'd fail miserably...thank God we DO have him, and can rely on Him...i look forward to reading more. *wiping away tears* this really got me...(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :(
