An undercover policeman gathers information that leads to an arrest and the lynchpin that prevents ongoing trafficking in a gang
Out there on the water, unseen figures watched through their binoculars, from a hilltop on the shore , the small boat arrive and then quickly dump a package into the sea . The package floated there near the reef where the waves were breaking .

Because there are double agents on both sides iy gets a little confusing and those who walk in between the lines are in danger of their cover getting revealed . Sometimes police undercover go inside prison for a while to satisfy those in the gangs that they are actually one of them and vice versa the gang members who infiltrate the drug lords need to arrest some of those in the gangs . It always hard for those who get in deep to their undercover roles to maintain secrecy .
So out on the ocean the package floated until the police went and recovered it made their investigation before destroying the contents within that had a street value of four million dollars . This floating package was sacrificed to protect gang members from being arrested . There are many more getting picked up undetected as well as some not getting through with arrests being made . The drug lords were of course very upset about loosing out on a four million package and started to look for the snitch in their ranks and the police also did their own investigation to find out who the snitch was in their ranks . The police quickly moved in and removed their undercover man out with a quick arrest that had been orchestrated due to some very clever detective work that led to the identity of the gang member in their ranks . After the undercover cop shot dead the undercover gang member it all looked legitimate and no one suspected the undercover cop was involved with the police because he had shot dead a police officer who was actually a gang member working in the police department .
Only the gang leader knew who the double agents were so there was no suspicion of any issue with the shooting man who was actually one of the gang member the snitch
When then undercover cop went to prison for the murder it was part of a filtering out process where he would be removed from the prison and sent to another prison and eventually released into the world with a new identity and a safe home to live in far far away .
