Living in the world but not of it is a possibility for some
Young Adam McAdam was a bookworm and there was nothing made him happier than locking himself away in his bedroom to read a book .
His Father loved his son and encouraged Adam’s love for reading and began to convert the upstairs attic into a reading room for him . He built bookcases into all the walls and filled them with books that people had donated for the project .
After the reading room was finished some of the neighbours and others who had donated books wanted to have a look at the work that Mr McAdam had done . Everyone was amazed at what they saw .
Not long after the next door neighbours house went up for sale and with the help of Mr McAdams bank he bought the home with the idea of combining the two homes into one and eventually both homes were attached and because Mr McAdam loved his son so much , instead of building bathrooms and kitchens he built a huge library that occupied most of the new renovated home .
The massive collection of books had grown with donations from deceased estates , schools and an unknown wealthy patron who had donated a large amount of money for purchasing books the fill the shelves of this very large and unique home library .
The patron who passed away had no family and bequeathed a large amount of money to purchase a continuation of books for the library that was now needing further renovations to accommodate the amount of books that were on order .
When the other neighbour on the other side of the Mc Adam home library had his house for sale on the market Mr McAdam purchased the home using the patrons money to reconstruct the place into an adjoining library to put all the books that were on order .
Due to the fact that most people were now using computers and digital books the hard copies and ever leather-bound books were being left behind by progressive technology . The Mc Adams reading room had now become more like a museum for books that were becoming a thing of the past .
Adam McAdam was oblivious to all of this because his loving father protected him from what was happening in the real world outside .
Everyday Adam was locked away in the reading rooms enjoying his very addictive.
and unique passions of life reading books from the shelves inside the huge library his father had built for him .
Adam had become a hermit and lived a contemplative life reading books every day.
When Admas father passed away the librarian robot called Floater took over the roles of organising and maintaining all of the restocking and ordering of nooks .
Other robots had been built to cook and clean and help Adam with his everyday life activities which allowed Adam time to read without distraction.
The reading rooms in the library were now all connecting and Adam could move around from room to room at ease choosing when and where he wanted to read .
The rooms were well lit and displayed artworks and statues . There was silence all around the library . It was equipped with fridges and free vending machines that were maintained regularly by robots .
No visitors ever came calling and there were cameras linked to a 24-hour security company to protect Adam and all the books as well as the equipment inside the huge home library . Adam had a vital call his father told him he could press if ever he needed help or had an emergency that required outside help .
Unknown to the outside world Adam had lived for 70 years in a wheel chair with robots to assist him with all his requirements in daily life , He was born with severe disabilities but his brain functioned very well and in no way or by any means did he ever consider himself as a person disabled .
The end-of-life process was carried out by robots in the library who were programmed to place Admas corpse alongside his fathers in the tomb in an underground chamber that had been installed long before Adam’s father died .
When Adam passed away the McAdam home library was opened up to the public care of a legal document that had been signed and kept by 12 solicitors who were to follow the instructions given by the owner of the library Mr Adam McAdam .
The solicitors were to protect the library from anyone who would try to buy or acquire.

The library was open to all and welcomed people to come and read from any book during opening times .
Adam McAdan and his son had already dome what the anonymous patron had asked . A place where anyone could come to read and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of life .
