The images evoked by this story dragged me into the poor, sad dog's heart and mind. I cried when you described her chasing the truck those bad people drove away in and shook with her emotion as she tried to shelter her babies at the end. Well done, you are an angel with invisible wings.
I really liked your story especially about the development of trust on the part of a terrified dog. You have a way of brawing the readeer into your world. Keep up the good work!!
