An update on the young Oriental woman who had been injured during this spring's Tornado Outbreak that ravaged a good part of the country, especially the South. She had numerous contusions and abrasions, and suffered a broken leg that required the use of an external device to hold the bones in place; and eye injuries that have now left her legally blind.
Michiko Tsuhiko Osaka is my name, and I am still in the hospital, recovering from my injuries.
I was hurt in a tornado that hit the trailer I was living in at the time, and I suffered bruises and bumps, a severely broken leg (I still have the pins and bars on my legs; and the device looks NASTY! Feels NASTY, too!), and eye injuries that have severely limited my vision. I can see from the sides, but not in front of me. All I see in front of me is a haze, and it is very difficult trying to do things. I have to be read to, and I have to have help with most things because I can't see.
They still don't know if I will able to walk once I get the pins out of my leg; and they still don't know if my vision will EVER come back. I am still having a hard time emotionally because whenever I try to sleep, all I see are the walls crashing around me, which is the last thing I remembered before my vision faded. That, and pain, as glass flew into my eyes; and the brief sight of blood pouring from my eyes.
I still hear from the little nurse who took care of me, Louisiana Sandusky, and she comes to see me every so often. She is still as sweet and as caring as ever, and she still takes the time to visit me. Sometimes she brings one of her kids with her, and they are well-behaved. I have met her son, Johnny, her daughter, Ronee', and her baby, Kwame', who is no longer a baby; but still..he's the youngest of the kids. I have also met her husband, Bill, and he is extremely tall! She is still busy, working here at the hospital, taking care of her large family, and now is working on a book she is writing about her family. I don't know how she does it, or how she finds the time, but somehow she manages. That woman is ever the little dynamo, and it is amazing to watch her in action, especially since she has back problems and gets around on a cane.
I have my good days, and I have my bad days. The doctor still tightens the pins in my leg; and every time he does it, I cry. It just hurts SO BAD, and I nearly throw up each and every time! It is all I can do to keep FROM throwing up, and I have to fight it with every ounce of my strength! I will be SO glad when that thing comes out because I can't take much more of this pin tightening!
I also cry because I can't see much, and it is very frustrating trying to do things when I can't see nothing much other than a greyish-white haze in front of most of my vision. I try to feed myself or try to dress myself, and I have to do everything mostly by feel; and it is SO hard! I wish people would understand what I have had to endure these past several months, and I wish they knew how hard it is for me.
I not only lost my home..I lost most of my sight, and I STILL don't know if I will EVER walk again or be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life!
Then people wonder why I am so sad or angry all of the time...wouldn't YOU be angry if YOU have had to endure all that I have these past few months??
Heartbreaking write, the pins tightening reminded me of my friend/beautician Sue who recently had the pins removed in her legs after like three years, and just a few weeks ago she was in a minor accident that broke her wrist, so please keep her in your prayers.
God Bless
~Michelle~

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
