The Dark Before Dawn has just been named Kirkus Review's Best of 2011. The novel received a rave review and then was awarded the Kirkus Star (given to books of remarkable merit). To be named as one of the best works of fiction in 2011 by the "World's Toughest Book Critic" is indeed something we're considering a "success".
