Success Story
I found my publisher for "Charity's Child" through being shortlisted in a short story competition run by Earlyworks Press. Kay Green, who runs the press, liked my science fiction story "Connections" and asked what else I had written. I had 2 novels to show her and she was interested in Charity's Child. Six months and a lot of hard work later, we had a manuscript we both liked, and Kay agreed to publish under her new imprint, Circaidy Gregory Press. I'd been targeting publishers and agents for some time so this was a real stroke of luck. I'd recommend it - enter as many competitions as you can - one of them might open doors for you. And at the same time, of course, work on your book!
