Success Story
“Just write.” What in the world did God mean by that? I had prayed the prayer that many Christians pray. I asked God to tell me what I could do to best serve Him. I was waiting for a lighting bolt to flash across the sky with a message that said something to the effect of: Go to Egypt, and tell Pharaoh to let my people go. Instead the Lord said two words, “Just write.” You can’t imagine how much I over analyzed those words in the beginning.
I have always enjoyed writing notes to friends, creating a cute poem for a family member but never in my wildest dreams did I consider writing more than a few lines at a time, let alone a book. Thankfully, I reached a point where I decided to be obedient and trust God whether I understood or not. With a question mark constantly imprinted on my face as if to ask God if He knew what He was talking about--I began to write.
I wrote about my funny moments, my sad times, my trials and tribulations along with the word of God and how I was able to apply it to my life. God took my bits and pieces of writing and opened the door for my first book, "A Breath of Inspiration." From that came "CJ's Peace" and "Full Circle...SIDS From Hopelessness to Healing" (to be released in 2004).
I have come to see God in everything and in every moment of my day. I have learned and continue to learn, that God is not nearly as complicated as we make Him out to be. God is real, and He is anxious to be apart of our every day life.
With that understanding and with the gift God has given me--I now write.
