This is a novel about how India is being pulled in every possible direction by vested interests like wealthy non resident Indians, greedy politicians, terrorists and others.
India - the biggest democracy in the world! Enigmatic and challenging one's reasoning - in recent years tilting towards authoritarian rule. The politicians are busy securing power first and then trying to hold on to it by any means. This triggers a nexus between crime and politics of a dangerous kind. The circle of these politics touches poor farmers, big businessmen, Mafia dons, smugglers, film artistes, religious leaders and a new breed of Non Resident Indians (NRIs).
But when terrorism and politics of fear enters this circle what is generated is Manipulation, threatening to change the course of history of the entire nation. The controllers of the wheel of manipulation are more often than not hidden behind a curtain of secrecy.

How the world has changed! One can do whatever that person wants with the help of money. At one time mercenaries were called dogs of war. Now they are in great demand. Pay them the money and get your thing done--in any corner of the world. Gulu, the Indian-born British magnate, knew he himself had to go the same way, or else he might lose the race to others and there would not be another opportunity to realize his dreams. In any case his competitors would definitely choose the path of using money to get the desired results and try to be smarter.
This rat race was disturbing him. There were other business groups in India who were also trying their level best to prevent Non Resident Indians and multinationals into entering India.
Something needed to be done--and quickly!

It seems interesting. I've put it down on my "books to get" list so it may take me a while, but I do plan on checking this book out. :)
