Light exploded all around her as Frog and Jordan bombarded the roof top with shots. The noise was deafening. Dan stumbled as the ground shook below her. She was close now. Three steps later, she was standing at the edge of the building. The wind suddenly caught her, just as she looked down. Her hair whirled in her face, and her heart pounded furiously.
“3 . . . 2 . . . 1. . .”
Dan turned quickly and jumped into the black void below her. Time seemed to slow as she hung suspended in midair for the smallest of seconds before the terrifying fall began. . .
