Alex stood, gave me a smile and said “We’ll be right back.” He took a few steps, turned and pulled me to my feet and slowly brushed his lips lightly against mine then moved his mouth to a sensitive spot behind my right ear. I felt shivers run up my arms. He seemed to be nibbling on me as I felt his teeth scrape along my neck. I leaned into him wanting more. He didn’t disappoint me. He bent me over his arm and used his tongue to part my lips. His tongue swept in and he deepened the kiss in a way that made my legs weak.
After kissing me to distraction, he pulled back and with a sexy wink at me, walked away. I looked over to Roberto who had a thunderous look on his face.
“That was strange.” At Janel’s comment I forced my mind away from some highly erotic images of Alex that were going through my mind to pay attention to her.
“Yes. That was strange; I hardly know that man and we just came close to a make out session.”
“No, not that.” Janel laughed. “Though I have to admit I’ve never seen you act that way before. Not even with your ex. No, what I want to know is why did that Steven Segal wannabe speak to Roberto? We’re at Alex’s hotel after all. Wouldn’t he want to speak to Alex? And did you see the worried look on their faces?”
“I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.” I replied still a bit distracted by Alex’s kiss.
“Of course you didn’t, you were too busy being seduced by tall blond and gorgeous” she laughed.
“Seduced? I hardly think that….”
My words were cut off by Alex and Roberto as they appeared at the table. Alex grabbed my arm and said “we have to go now.”
Roberto grabbed a hold of Janel’s arm and pulled her to her feet.
“Owww…what the hell are you doing?” Janel yelped.
I took a look at Alex and Roberto’s faces and said to Janel “I don’t know what’s going on but please let’s listen to them.”
I had an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach as we ran through the restaurant.
Instead of heading to the elevators that we came up in, Alex pulled me to the left where an exit sign hung above a door. We burst through the door which led to a stairwell.
Janel yelled “no freaking way am I going to walk down forty flights of stairs in high heels.”
