The main characters start out being the workers and engineers who are building the new City Dome.  The workers build this city fast with the help of Nanobots that I just point out.  I do not describe the Technology in this book too much. I do not want the reader to get overwhelmed, so I let them imagine the experience for themselves.  I start all of my books about Mars with an introduction to bring the reader to Mars, not just put them there.

The first inhabitants of this City Dome are some of the people that built it.  One of the workers brought his wife and daughter to this City Dome to live.  This young man’s wife feels that she has no choice but to join her husband on Mars.  Her husband has a room that is part of the underground city in the dome with low budget rooms.  Their little girl is around ten and needs to go to a school that has not been setup yet in part of the Mall.  This girl starts her day at one of the many aboveground community centers in this City Dome.  She starts a computer generated educational program that finds the best way to teach each student.  Her parents start their jobs on the rail line that runs under this city. 

The main story starts with three college graduates that get six tickets to Mars as a graduation gift.  They bring their girl friends and look into beginning a life on Mars.  Their parents come for the trip but they stay at the New Mars Complex.  The group of six college graduates get rooms at a hotel in The City Dome.  The six main caricatures spend most of their first week exploring the City.  They find that there are many sports centers that are hidden around the city.  They also find that the rezone that there are so many activities and gyms on Mars is so that they stay strong.

There is just a third Earth gravity on Mars that is a large attraction of vacationing on Mars.  These six caricatures find that Mars has a lot of amusements, parks, and a number of activities.  The three men are enjoying this time with their girl friends, but they all go to visit with their parents at the New Mars complex.  Their parents are looking into retiring at the New Mars Complex that is made up of three Bio-Domes that are tented cities.  The six get an early start on that day; so on the way to The New Mars Complex, they spend some time at the Mars Domes. The Mars Domes are the first three story Domes that started with one, but grew to three.  After their tour of the science dome they take a Maglev to Tent A to meet their parents.

From there they go to Tent B or the sports complex that is a small crater that has been tented.  There is a lot with in this tent that is almost the size of the City Dome.  A big attraction to the New Mars are the races and the biggest race is in Tent B with a lot of other sports.  When they enter Tent B there is a big amusement park that has a casino and restaurant part of it.  Basket Ball is big here, because of the less gravity and the extreme sports get very extreme.  With a stadium, that has mini pod races with mottos and ramps in Tent B.  They all find things to do. 

Before there day ends in Tent B they see a Pod race that everyone is talking about as they get some dinner.  Most of them spend another day at the Mars complex while they get ready for another week on Mars.  When the second week comes around the college graduates find that there are a lot of job opportunities.  By the end of this book most of these college grads have found the jobs that they want.
