There will be times when we face pain, heartache or grief and we can be so caught up in the moment, that we allow these feelings to keep the back door of our heart open to evil without even realizing it. Just as we check our doors each night, to make sure that they are shut and locked properly; we need to also check the back door of our hearts, so that we aren't allowing more evil to enter. How do we do this? When we are facing a moment, when everything in our lives seems to be out of control; we can shut the door to evil, by praying or talking to God...reading His word or even by singing praises to Him, instead of getting caught up into the moment of darkness. These acts of love towards God, allows the door of evil to remain shut and locked, so Satan can't creep in and bring more destruction into our hearts and minds.
