Delightful Reading Experience
The Widow's Walk League by Nancy Lynn Jarvis is the fourth book in the Regan McHenry Real Estate Mysteries. If the other three are as delightful as this one, I would highly recommend them.

Regan McHenry is a real estate agent who has the habit of getting involved in murder investigations to the consternation of her policeman friend, Dave Everett. In this story, bodies of husbands are popping up everywhere, and it appears there is a scheme afoot to create four more widows to invest in a commune-style housing arrangement. When the new widows begin placing their homes with Regan and her husband Tom's real estate firm, Regan's need to "right wrongs" that aren't any of her concern draws her farther and farther into the intrigue until she is unsure who the guilty party is, which could ultimately make her a target.

Jarvis handles this story with the expertise of a seasoned writer. The story flows easily, and her unfolding of information and clues is superb, keeping you guessing until the end. Her characters come alive through description, dialogue, and their relationships with each other. I read the book in one afternoon because it literally drew me forward page after page.

Great author!
Regan and her husband own a real estate business, and this is one of a number of books with the same characters, which you will want to follow into another book:) Regan has a natural knack for discovering mystery while doing her day job, and works with a local cop friend to solve the problem, which in this case involves murder of husbands, leaving widows who agree to move in with the first widow of the group, who is trying to create a home full of widows...
Shocking, funny, sad, loving, and a must read.

Intriguing Murder Plot
Real estate agent Regan McHenry gets involved with the members of The Widow's Walk League when their husbands start dropping dead, one after the other. A Santa Cruz realtor with both feet on the ground, Regan is as passionate and steadfast about her work as she is about seeing justice served, and murder fits the bill.

Author Nancy Lynn Jarvis expertly weaves a complex plot as she guides Regan through probing but discreet conversations with witnesses and potential suspects, and guarded debates with a police friend, Dave Everett. Clues are revealed in such a clever and inconspicuous manner that the reader is kept guessing about the true identity of the serial killer until the end. Throw in eccentric homeowners, elusive gangsters, and tidbits of folklore, and you have a mystery that offers an excellent challenge for whodunit fans. Highly recommended.
