Poodiky Oglethorpe is a Bernese Mountain dog puppy. He is very excited with all the "smells" of his new world and wants to investigate where they come from.
As Poodiky Oglethorpe sniffs his masters shoes each day when she returns from work, he becomes very curious about where these smells come from. He developes a plan to sneak out when his master leaves for work and investigate the world outside to find all the wonderful things that smell so good. His adventure is harder than he thought and as he explores this world by himself, he runs into trouble and almost doesn't make it home. This new world has some scary places that he never wants to see again. He learns a valuable lesson as he makes it home just in time for a comforting hug from his master.
