Once she arrived at the rear kitchen door, she unlatched the deadbolt and pulled it open; then she valiantly proceeded toward the backyard, in which lengthy shadows seemed to heavily permeate every exterior corner and nook. As her long, raven hair subtly bounced behind her, Rose approached the side of the residence with newfound hesitance. Meanwhile, her heart thumped in her chest, and seemed to noisily reverberate into her throat. She knew that her anxiety had just as much to do with anger, as it did fear. As she white-knuckled the cellular phone in her fist, she edged around the corner of the house; where her bedroom window was situated.
Once the side of her home was in her view, however, there was no sign
of the man. She tentatively stepped forward, while her eyes furiously
flickered to and fro for any hints of Stefan’s whereabouts. Cautiously, she
stepped toward the exterior bedroom window. As she peered into the window with a heavily puzzled expression, she wondered if she were going completely mad… Then she noticed the image of a man reflected upon the glass of the window. Inexplicably, Stefan’s intimidating visage stood behind her, and mere feet away from her.
“Meine Rose,” he suddenly spoke in his native German dialect, as he took a hesitant step toward her through the vast darkness. Abruptly gripped in a vise of fear, Rose forced herself to turn and face him. In return, he coldly grinned at her; although an odd trace of longing seemed to be etched in his unnaturally pallid eyes.
“St—Stefan? I—I only came out here to tell you to… Leave us alone,” she faltered drastically as she struggled to hold his intimidating gaze.
Stefan said nothing in return, he only continued to slowly step toward her.
His grin, however, had dissipated from his unusually handsome face and was replaced by a slight pout. The ashen wisps of his golden hair glinted
luminously from the overhead crescent of moonlight, and his eyes seemed to glimmer almost magically as he drew ever closer.
“St—stop,” she cried barely above a terrified whisper, and he obediently paused only inches away from her. He was nearly close enough to where she could feel the distinct chill emanating from his flesh.
“Ich habe für immer gewartet, Ihre Lippen zu berühren,” he spoke once more
in German, then extended his arms toward her. She stared at him in stunned disbelief, as her heart abruptly leapt into her throat. She felt the coldness of his long fingers against the skin of her arms, as each
appendage lightly caressed her skin.
“Stefan, please—I don’t understand what you’re saying. Sp—speak English, please,” she pleaded, as she gazed upward at him through widened green eyes.
Instead of responding to her pleas, Stefan merely inched his hands
toward her wrists; then he forcefully removed the cellular phone from her
hand. The gadget tumbled to the ground below, while Stefan gradually encircled his fingers around her wrists.
“Stefan, what are you doing? Please don’t—” she began, but could not
finish her statement. He ignored her, and with her wrists firmly grasped
between his fingers, he slowly rose her arms above her head; then he
stepped forward and forced her against the exterior window.
“Ich liebe Sie,” he seemed to beseech, as his eyes conveyed a heightened
level of desire.
“Please—” she pleaded once more, before she was abruptly cut off by
Stefan’s lips as he briefly, but roughly pressed them against her own. She stared at him in astonishment as he gradually parted his lips from hers,
although his colorless eyes remained firmly bored into her own.
“Ich habe für immer gewartet, Ihre Lippen zu berühren,” he reiterated his
earlier statement through a mere whisper; then he parted his lips as he
leaned toward her once more. He tipped his head slightly to the side as he
ravaged her lips with substantially more force than earlier. Another brief
moment passed when his kiss had ended as quickly as it came. He abruptly
tore his crimson lips from hers and spoke once more.
“Und Ihr Gesicht,” he whispered breathlessly, then plunged his lips onto hers. He abruptly parted from her, only to repeat the ritual of foreign words intermingled with romantic kisses. “Ihre Lippen zu küssen,” he muttered with mounting arousal; then opened his mouth again and fully exposed his lengthy fangs. Rose gasped in further shock, but was swiftly cut off by his lips. With ever mounting passionate intensity, he briefly propelled the tip of his tongue through her lips, then hastily retracted it.
“Sie zu berühren,” he muttered breathlessly, as she stood before him
feeling immensely petrified and very confused. As her body began to
tremble uncontrollably, Stefan lunged forward and deeply crushed her
lips beneath his during a new level of brutality.
